((Haha, poor Risk!))
Race blinked, still a little dazed, and then went dashing after him, relieved that at least the thugs hadn't done anything to his legs. "Risk!" he gasped out, grabbing his arm when he finally caught up to him. "What the hell is going on?"

"Thugs, you said thugs," repeated Risk, panic in his voice as he looked at Race. "Was there a blonde? Shit, this is my fault... I'm going to fucking kill Goblin when I see him! What'd you see Race? What'd you remember?"

"Will you calm down!" Race shouted, because other people panicking made him panic, and that could be pretty damn annoying when he didn't even know what he was panicking about. "You said a blonde? Yeah, there was this girl...pretty little thing, till Ershey decked her, at least. And two guys who learned how to fight someplace tougher than Brooklyn." He tried to process everything Risk had said. "How is this your fault? And what's it have to do with Goblin?"

"The blonde was Sammie... but this was all Eastman, th-the Five Points Gang that Goblin wanted to get back at -- the one that Macbeth and I went back to and swindled -- it was them. Fucking Eastman took my sister!" he shouted, unable to keep calm as he grabbed Race's arms. "Th-they're gonna torture her and... shit, we have to find her now!"

Racetrack stared at him, feeling like he had just picked up a novel that was missing about forty goddamn chapters. He had a distinct memory of once telling Risk never to come knocking on his door and telling him someone had been shot, stabbed, or kidnapped. Now he was wishing someone had come knocking on his door a little sooner.
"Eastman," he muttered tensely, processing as fast as he possibly could. "The Points. Fine. Of course. So we'll go get Tristan." He was already dragging Risk off in the direction of the bridge. "And if you could just take this from the top...?"

"Can we get Macbeth too?" muttered Risk, suddenly feeling overwhelmed as he blindly followed Racetrack. "It was the Refuge. Goblin started getting obsessed with the Refuge and wanted to figure out what was going on -- Eastman and his gang, the one in Five Points, use it to find girls and whore 'em out. So, Goblin sent me and Macbeth to bring them down -- any information. So, the two of us, being the stupid people that we are -- went back and got information. Now they know where we live. They know about Ershey. And now she's gone, Race. They took her."

Relieved that Risk was finally more-or-less making sense, Race followed the whole story and heaved a weary sigh, feeling like an overextended father. "Could someone, once in a while, please tell me about these things before they reach the crisis point?" Seeing the total desperation on Risk's face, he added with all the confidence he could muster, "We'll get her back. Have you ever seen angry Tristan? He's got connections that...well, I don't think I'm actually s'posta know about 'em, but trust me. He'll get her back."
They were approaching the bridge, and Race glanced around. "Your place is around here somewhere, right? You can swing by and grab Macbeth."

"Wait here, I'll be right back," said Risk once he saw their building come into view. He ran inside, grabbing Macbeth as he tried to explain to her what'd just happen while he dragged her down the stairs and towards Racetrack.

At first, Beth had no idea what was going on. Even when Risk's explanation began to get through to her, she couldn't bring herself to believe it. And when she finally accepted the fact that Monk Eastman had Ershey, she didn't say a word. She didn't glance at Race or even at Risk. She just made the same conclusion Race had, that their only hope was Tristan and his gang connections, and dashed headlong across the Brooklyn Bridge, leaving the boys to catch up if they could.

Tristan stood in his hallway staring at the group in front of him like they were all going absolutely fucking crazy because none of them were actually getting through to his at the moment. He blinked and then shook his head.
"Wait a fucking second," he said and held up his hand. "So you're telling me Monk Eastman kidnapped Ershey? What the fuck have you guys been doing?" He squeezed the bridge of his nose and then nodded. "Okay okay...I gotta go get Jimmy cause I ain't going in there alone..."

"If you wanna make a clean sweep of this..." Macbeth handed him the list. She'd grabbed it when Risk came to get her. It had the names and locations of Eastman and all his top lieutenants--everything she'd learned from the drunk gangster who thought she was going to put out and ended up bleeding in an alley. "They've prob'ly got Ershey at headquarters. First address on the list. Where's Jo?"
She said all of this so fast that it was a miracle if even understood her--because if she let herself slow down and think for even a moment, she was going to either break down and cry or go on a murder spree. Monk Eastman had her best friend, one of the three people she cared about most in the world. She wanted to see some action right now, and she also wanted Jo in her arms.
