((hahaha yeah, that might be a good idea))
"I know, I was there when she bought them," Fire replied with a playful smirk. She paused, a slightly confused look coming over her face. "How about me what?"
"I didn't eat any of the chocolates, they were all for you!" She laughed quickly, letting out a quick sigh of relief when the waiter showed up to take their order.

Wraith waited for Fire to order before requesting her peach pie, then chuckled as the waiter walked away. "I meant do you like them too...chocolates?"

"Oh! Yes, I love chocolates," Fire replied, slightly embarrassed. She wrung her hands underneath the table, stealing sideways glances at the neighboring tables. Nope, still no one she recognized.
"What girl doesn't like chocolates?"

"I knew one once," Wraith said solemnly, "but she was raised by wolves and only ate raw squirrels." The waiter brought water, and she sipped hers casually, keeping a straight face with an effort.

"Oh, you don't say!" Fire replied with a playful gasp, her head tilting to the side as she tried not to laugh.
She watched the other her for a moment, still trying her hardest to stifle her laughter. "Sounds like this one girl I once knew," she continued jokingly, "only spoke in barks and meows. I don't think she cared for chocolate much."

"These poor uncivilized girls!" Wraith shook her head in dismay. "Someone needs to tell them there's nothing better than chocolate." As she considered these joking remarks, a slow blush crept over her cheeks yet again. "Well...almost nothing."

"Almost nothing?" Fire asked innocently, her forehead wrinkling slightly. "What could honestly be better than chocolate?" While she, personally, hadn't experienced anything better than the sweet, sweet taste of chocolate, she could tell by the color of Wraith's cheeks that maybe her comment was a little less-than innocent.
This, of course, made her blush as well. "I mean.... chocolate is wonderful. Magical, even."

"True!" she said quickly, banishing all memories of Kennedy from her mind. What was she thinking? It wasn't like her at all to let things like that just slip out. She told herself it was just because, well...it had been a while since she'd...well, it had been a good long while.
She cleared her throat. "Did you know on the Upper West Side, they make chocolate as a drink? You can take it hot or cold, and it's all thick and creamy, so much better than coffee." She sighed wistfully. "I haven't had any in years." No newsie could ever afford it.

"How can you drink chocolate?" She asked, perplexed. Out of all the crazy things she had heard in her life, this had to have taken the cake! Drinkable chocolate? Clearly, this was a joke of some sort.
Slowly, she started to laugh. "Second, how can it be any better than coffee??" The only drink she had ever found better than coffee was that bathtub whiskey she and Gypsy had shared up in the attic almost two months ago, and that was already becoming a distant memory to her.

"Well," Wraith said thoughtfully, "coffee'll warm you up and wake you up, and it tastes great if it's the expensive kind, but it's always bitter underneath. Chocolate, though...it's pure sweetness. It tastes like...like childhood..." Her voice trailed off. She hadn't had a happy childhood by any traditional standards, but compared to the rest of her life...
After which she immediately wished that she could stop associating every damn thing with some memory or troubling metaphor. So many of her conversations for months on end had revolved around murder, rape, and revenge--couldn't she just have a lighthearted chat about chocolate?

"Well, that's quite the comparison if I ever heard one," Fire replied with a polite smile. She then started to wish that she had enough funds hidden away to buy a hot chocolate for Wraith. It must be good if she missed it that badly!
The waiter soon returned with their food and she thanked him softly, her head still spinning with ideas on how to get her hands on some hot chocolate.

Wraith dug into her peach pie, though her eyes and her thoughts kept straying toward Fire. If there was a connection here, she wanted to pursue it; but if it was all one-sided--just the overactive hopes of a lonely, desperate girl--she wanted to know. How could she find out? Script was so good at this kind of advice, but things were so awkward with Script right now. Doesn't matter. I'll suck it up and talk to her. She licked a runaway bit of peach from the corner of her mouth and smiled sheepishly.

"I saw that," Fire remarked playfully after quickly stealing a glance at the other girl. Still smirking, she slipped her spoon into her soup before taking a taste.
"It's good," she finally remarked, quietly slurping the last bit of noodle in between her lips.

"Told you," she said with a smile, nibbling on the last remaining peach in her pie. She always saved the outer crust for last. "So, um...you met Tara, huh?" she asked, remembering what Fire had said about the chocolates.

"Just once," she replied with a nod before finishing up her bowl of soup. "I was in the park and she was there catching butterflies and then stated to talk to me. Eventually, we came to find out that we both know you."
She shrugged and put her spoon down. "She's a nice girl, I think. I wouldn't really know, since I only saw her that once."
