Rose greeted them all with friendly smiles and bows of her head, not letting on that they were here for any other reason but business.

"Well, then let me just get out of your way. I have no patience for business talk," she informed them. "My lord, if it's all right, I think I'll go out riding..." Which meant she would ride over to Raven's house and drag her back here if need be.

Rose dashed out to the stables and saddled her mare, riding over to Raven's house. She arrived with flushed cheeks, her hair looking a bit wild from the wind.

When Rose came into the parlor Raven blinked up at her, taking in her appearance. "What the hell is going on?" She said rather bluntly and stood up.

"There's, uh, an emergency at the house. Jimmy sent me to fetch you," she said, out of breath.

"of course I would, sometimes my cousin is a total idiot!" once back outside and to the stables the girls mounted their horses and were on their way.

They reached the Duke's residence in good time, and Rose was actually starting to get nervous. She led Raven to the study, though she was sure Raven didn't really need to be led anywhere.

Once she arrived in the study the men stood up and bowed their heads go her. "My lady..." the chimed in unison.
Raven raised an eyebrow at her cousin who shrugged.

Jimmy glared after his wife and watched as Rae crossed her arms.
"It was her idea!" Jimmy exclaimed, completely selling Rose out.
"So I suppose the two of you think I'm going to fall madly in love with you, start swooning and all that other romantic nonsense?" Raven said to the two men standing in front of her.
"I told you this wasn't going to be easy," Jimmy said with a sigh.

Rose locked herself in her bedroom for the next few hours, only emerging when she felt it was safe. Her plan was to tell her husband she had come down with an awful headache. He may or may not believe it.
She ventured downstairs, on the lookout for someone.
