Adri waved goodbye to her friends before making her way towards Eli's car. Her eyes widened when he saw her with another girl. How many was that today? Six? She hesitantly walked towards the pair, not exactly sure whether they'd wanted privacy.

Eli waved goodbye to the girl when he saw Adri walk up. "hey, how was the rest of your day?"
The girl gave Adri a sour look before walking off. Eli unlocked his car and got in.

"Uh, it's okay," she answered, watching the girl in confusion as she walked away. Girls were already jealous? What just happened?
"How was yours?"

"not bad. Teachers seem okay. It's gonna be a tough semester though, with all the homework and applying to schools and everything." Eli was not looking forward to that.
"do you know where you are applying yet?"

"Got a couple of ideas... mostly west coast schools," she answered, shrugging. "Have you thought about it yet?"

She rolled her eyes at him, shaking her head. "Right," she muttered, amused. "So, someone looked popular with the girls today. Christine even glared at me earlier 'cause she saw me talking to you."

"yeah it was weird. Definitely a change." Eli shrugged. "all those girls are pretty shallow though. Its kind of a turn off."

Adri looked at him curiously. "Really? You seemed to get along with some of 'em pretty well," she said, remembering when he walked into calc class earlier.

"yeah but...most of em barely talked to me all these years. A part of me thinks Lizzie thought I just moved here," Eli noted to her, pulling into his driveway. Although he did like the attention. Really, really like it.
