Zippy stood up and began to make some tea. "Oh, are you a waitress or something at night?"

"Um...no. Not exactly. I, um...I'm a taxi dancer. At Irving Hall." She glanced at Zippy as she moved to the kitchen.

Zippy hovered over the boiling water for a moment, surprised. "Oh, that's...nice," Zippy replied, not looking at her.

"Yeah, I understand," Zippy replied, with a small sigh and poured her a cup of tea. "I am not judging you, honest."

She took the mug when she brought the tea back to the living room. "I ain't blamin' you if ya do. Most girls judge. Eli don't like it so much either."

"Hey, I'm barely surviving here myself. Eli helps mostly. I get it," Zippy snuggled onto the couch, sipping on her tea.

Trixie shifted to sit on one leg, sipping her tea. "Eli and me...I--I'm not exactly sure what we are. He gets awful jealous, though, when he's at Irvin' Hall and I'm on shift."

Zippy smiled at her. "Can ya blame him? And anyway, its his problem, not yours. You wouldn't cheat, would you?"

She hesitated for just a second, then shook her head. "No. No, not on Eli. I couldn't do that to him."

She nodded, looking down at her mug. "He--he won't call me his girl, though."

"Maybe he doesn't wanna rush things. Davey sort of rushed things. It all worked out fine, his instincts were right, but..." She shrugged. "What does he call you then?"

She shrugged. "Calls me every pet name in the book." She smiled a little. "I like Kitten the best." She shook her head. "But as far as I understand it, I ain't his girlfriend."

Now Zippy was interested. It had been awhile since she had quality girl talk. "Well...maybe I can do some snooping for you. Ask him more."
