Tyler nodded, glancing at Michael. What'd she see in this douchebag anyway?? "Sure." He gave her his number. "I'll see ya later, then."

Rose smiled at him one last time before taking Michael's hand and finishing up with their shopping trip.
Later that evening, Rose walked into the restaurant in one of her favorite dresses; a green little number that paired perfectly with a black and white striped cardigan. She spotted Tyler immediately and weaved through the tables to join him.

He'd word a red plaid flannel and jeans, because it made him feel comfortable. And he knew he looked good in it. He stood up when he spotted her, smiling. God, she'd gotten gorgeous.
"Heya, Rosie. Thanks for comin'." He leaned down to kiss her cheek, then pulled a chair out for her.

Sweet mercy, he smelled good.
"Wow, what a gentleman!" she said in an almost mocking impressed tone. She was pretty impressed, actually. Michael seldom remembered to pull out chairs and such for her.

Tyler grinned at her, sending her a wink as he sat across from her. "Well, ya know me. Southern, born and bred." Her jerk of a fiance sounded like a damn Yankee.

She just rolled her eyes and laughed; Tyler hadn't changed a bit. "I'm just sorry Mike couldn't come. I know you two would really get along. But he has to work a lot, so what can ya do?" she shrugged, pulling out her menu.

Tyler arched a brow at her. He didn't think he'd get along with him at all. "What's he do?"

"He works in the art department for an advertising company. He's very creative," she told him, sounding quite proud. "And very dedicated. Stays at the office late most days."

He arched a brow. "Can't imagine why he wouldn't wanna spend time with you instead."

"Oh, well, I'm usually just at home planning lessons or something," she informed him, her eyes drawn to a hamburger that sounded divine...and huge. Would Tyler judge her?

He thought about ordering steak, then quirked a brow at her. "Lessons? Yer teachin'?" He smiled at her. "Bet yer amazin' at it."

A blush came over her cheeks, and she was glad she had something to focus on besides him. "Yeah. Fourth grade. It's...amazing."

He grinned. "I bet you are." The waiter came and Tyler ordered his steak.

Rose didn't give a shit and ordered the hamburger with cheese and extra pickles. Hell yeah.

((Yum, pickles. I always get to eat my boyfriend's when we go to the deli cuz he's crazy and doesn't like them.))
Tyler grinned, appreciating a girl who wasn't afraid to eat. "So, what ya been up to lately, Rosie?" He'd always called her Rosie, from the day he first met her when he was 12.
