"Using me because of my food?" Lana teased, a smirk on her face as she looked across the table at him. Still blushing, she took another bite. "It will be a pleasure to be your friend, too, Leo."

When they finished up, Leo helped bring his dishes to the sink. "Let me. You should go bundle up- hat, gloves, scarf. It's chilly outside." he took her dishes and turned on the water, rolling up his sleeves.

"Are you sure?" Lana asked, her forehead wrinkled. Was he seriously offering to do the dishes? She had never seen any man wash dishes. Ever. She looked up at his face and let out a small laugh. "You are serious? Well.... okay."
She picked up Star and walked towards the doorway. "I will be right back."

Lana carried Starfish upstairs to the girls' bunkroom. She hurried up and put on her coat, a scarf, and a pair of mittens. She was actually going to the park! "You stay here, Star," she told the cat with a smile. "We will be back very, very soon."
She lightly kissed the tiny cat on the top of her head before exiting the bunkroom to go back downstairs.

By the time Lana returned to the kitchen, Leo had dried off the last plate and was reaching for his own coat.
"Ready?" He slipped on his coat, hat and scarf. "Central Park is very close."

"Once you see it, you'll never forget," Leo told her, walking to stand closely in front of her, smiling. He looked down, noticing her scarf wasn't wrapped around her neck as warmly as it could be. "Here, let me." He undid her scarf and began to wrap it around her neck. "You'll be warmer this way, querida."

Lana bit down on her lower lip, her eyes quickly averting when she realized how close Leo was. "Thank you," she whispered softly. Leo looked away from her to hide his blush as he laced his fingers with hers- even though they were both gloved, it was the nicest thing he felt in a long time. He led the way outside and down the street. It was a chilly day, but not freezing, the perfect day for a walk in the park.

((well, according to the Kat Dennings tumblr I found it on, it was in some magazine, haha. But, ahhh! Loves it! I laughed when I saw it. Quite loudly, as a matter of fact!))
Lana noticed that he had looked away and couldn't help but laugh to herself. Well, at least it didn't seem like she was the only one getting butterflies from this! "Are you okay, Leo?" she asked softly, lightly giving his hand a squeeze.
Still smiling, she swung their arms gently as they walked. "Today, it is not bad outside. I like it!"

"No, not at all," Lana agreed. Seriously? The park was this close the whole time?? And WHY couldn't her brother seem to find the time to take her, yet someone she had practically just met could? No matter, she wasn't about to let that upset her. She tilted her hear to look up at him and smiled quickly. "Thank you for showing me, Leo. I think I may be here a lot now that I know where it is."

((it's my obsession. I stalk it constantly. And "Charlie Bartlett" is the reason why I LOVE both Kat Dennings and Anton Yelchin. He especially is fantastic in that movie. They are romantically linked in it which may be weird for you haha but it works.))
