((haha! I can deal with it for the sake of amusement! I've loved Kat since the 40 Year-Old Virgin days. As for Anton, well, he was a little cutie in the Star Trek remake.))
Lana looked at him in disbelief. "Men made this? All of this?" She asked, amazed. "If this was not always here, what was here before? How... how did they do this, Leo?"

Leo chuckled. "I do not know, querida," he squeezed her hand, smiling. "We can go look it up together at the library, if you wish."

Lana nodded at that. She didn't care what her brother said about these New York City boys, this one was sweet and not any of those terrible things her brother had said. "I think that would be a good idea," she agreed. "I find it hard to believe that this park was not always here!"

Leo nodded. "It is hard to believe, but its the truth!" he chuckled and squeezed her hand, leading her down the hills of central park.

"I would hope that you would not lie to me," Lana teased. She smiled up at him as they walked through the park. Even though the trees were bare and the grass was a dull brown instead of a lush green, she could tell that the park was beautiful in warmer weather. She sighed happily, her head eventually finding its way onto his shoulder.

((i just watched "2 Broke Girls" Kat Dennings is fantastic!!))
"This is where I usually sit," Leo told her, stopping at a bench in front of the pond. There were a few ducks splashing around, definitely not as many as usual, but Leo took a seat anyway.

((haha it's seriously my favorite show! If I could have anybody play me in a movie or tv show, I would want it to be her. AU Lana would definitely be more like Max/real-life Kat but, sadly, Pasha would not have that for this Lana.))
"This is nice," Lana said as she sat down next to him. She looked out over the pond, marveling at the scene before her. Was she really expected to believe that people created this? People did not create rolling hills and ponds where ducks came to rest. No, people created buildings to replace such things! She reached up and gently brushed a stray piece of hair from her eyes before letting her hand come to rest on the bench. "Do you come here a lot?"

((omg. we should do an AU thread soon, I would love to meet that Lana she can play with Leo, Eli, or Hawk! Your choice!!)) "All the time. As much as possible. It calms me. And its beautiful," Leo said, glancing at her. "You are very beautiful, too."

((haha that Lana would be pretty awesome, not gonna lie. She can play with whoever, she's not one to discriminate! haha))
"You are just saying that," Lana replied bashfully, her eyes quickly averting. She bit down on her lower lip as she looked out over the pond. She could see little ripples forming where small bugs landed on the surface of the water, or maybe from fish making contact with the surface.
"If..." she began nervously, her voice barely audible, "if anybody is beautiful here, Leo, it is you."

(( but its your choice! but I guess it depends on the situation. Leo is always nice and a gentleman in every universe, I can usually do more with Eli. let me know if you wanna play in AU!))
Leo casually draped his arm around the back of the bench, clearing his throat. he honestly did not know what to say to that, and his face had a deep blush. "I- uh,er..." he stuttered, clearing his throat. "Thank you" he finally said softly, not sure what else to say.

"You are welcome, Leo," Lana replied, her shoulders shrugging slightly. She wrung her hands together, immediately regretting having said what she did. Did she do the wrong thing by saying it? Did he think that she was strange for having said it? Oy, emotions could be complicated! Her eyes focused intently on her hands and the way her fingers intertwined with one another.
"I am sorry...." she apologized after what she thought was an awkward pause.
((totally, yes! I mean, she's not AS abrasive as Max in 2BG, but she's definitely more quirky and nerdy, with all the right amounts of Max's sarcasm. I'm actually having a lot of fun trying to think about how she'd be in a current-day sort of situation!))

"I... I do not know," Lana admitted with a sigh. "I did not say the wrong thing?"

Leo gave her a confused look. "Lana, I do not believe anything you could possibly say would be wrong."

So she wasn't saying the wrong things? Well, that was a relief. "Well, as long as you're sure..." she remarked, still chewing on her lower lip.
