He tossed his bag up onto his shoulder and glanced over at her with a smirk. "Maybe I will. See ya later, kid."

A couple hours later, Rose was tending the bar at Irving Hall, trying to avoid the more sloshed ones who wanted to cop a feel. Nothing new, really.

Pie was never really one for bars, but when Rose had put the idea in his head, he had to admit that a drink sounded nice. Plus, getting to know her a little better was appealing, too, even if he knew there was a risk of her boyfriend getting the wrong idea and trying to beat him into a bloody pulp.
But he shrugged that off -- a drink wouldn't be a problem. He could have a nice talk with Rose (probably his first female friend, if he thought about it), drink a bit, and even watch some of the evening's show, if it wasn't too horrible.

When Rose saw him, she smiled - but not the same kind of smile that graced her lips when she was with Tyler. "Hey, Unfortunate Nickname, you made it! What can I getcha?"

Pie spotted her and went over to the bar, sliding into one of the few empty seats. "Heya, Drink that ain't Whiskey. Lemme have a bourbon, neat." He folded his arms over the bartop. "Pretty crowded in here tonight."

She nodded as she got him a clean glass (well, cleaner than the ones that were being used) and poured him his drink. "They've all come to see me, don't you know?"

"Oh, is that it?" Pie asked with a laugh. He picked up his drink and took a healthy-sized sip of it, then nodded behind him toward the stage. "That's nice, you get to watch free shows while you work."

"Oh yeah," Rose replied with a roll of her bright blue eyes. "Because the shows here are geared toward me and all."

"You can appreciate the talent, even if you don't appreciate the appearance," he shot back with a smirk. "If, y'know, any talent actually ever shows up around here."

"I don't think I can really be a judge of talent," she admitted with a shrug. "Except maybe singing. Just about anyone can tell if a person can sing or not."

"For example, this girl right now sounds like she swallowed a frog, and it's tryin' to get back out," he remarked as he glanced over his shoulder at the stage.

"See, I was thinking a cat," Rose countered, furrowing her brow as she poured a drink for someone.

Pie considered this, wincing as the poor girl hit a note that was particularly similar to a cat with its tail stuck in something. "She was definitely hired for her other traits..."

"Yeah, I'll say. I don't think even I would be able to fit into that dress properly," she said with a snort.

"Kid, that's the kind of dress that's meant to be worn improperly," Pie told her. He finished off his drink and nudged the glass toward her. "So, where's your Whiskey tonight?"
