Normally, Risk would've said no. He would've weighed the options and the chances of the other girls walking in on Macbeth sleeping next to him on her bunkbed with a baby. The odds didn't look so good. But he was too lazy to get up.
"Sure."

"Good." She threw a blanket over the three of them, hoping the other girls would have the decency to stay out of her business, at least when it came to Risk. The baby might take some explaining. She wrapped both arms around her little niece, holding her close. The talk with Risk had calmed her down so much that after a few breaths, she was out like a light.

Grabbing the blanket, Risk rolled over and made sure not to hit Macbeth or Jo. He was already so comfortable that it wouldn't be a problem falling asleep. (( ))

Glad to be off work early, Ershey bounded into the girls' bunkroom, excited to have the rest of the afternoon off. She stopped in her tracks, however, when she immediately saw two familiar figures sleeping on Macbeth's bunkbed. She tiptoed closer, trying her best to stay as quiet as possible. Once she was near enough, she gasped at the pair.

Macbeth was currently sleeping the sleep of the dead and gave no response. Jo, however, opened her eyes and let out a squeal of delight, reaching for Ershey. This caused Beth to crack an eyelid and scowl, still not sure where she was or why or who she was scowling at.

"Hey there," cooed Ershey, still somewhat in shock as she gently picked up Jo. "Now, could you possibly tell me what's going on with these two, hmm?"
Hearing Adri's voice, Risk stirred in his sleep, rolling over to find that he actually had more space (now that Jo was gone) and almost colliding with Macbeth.

"Nothing," Macbeth snapped, rolling her eyes and scooting to the edge of the bed to escape Risk. "We was tired, that's all." She looked up at Ershey. "Jo's father, Tristan--he was waiting for me here when we got home."

"And he wanted her back? What happened?" asked Ershey with urgency, worried that their plan already failed. Risk, however, finally opened his eyes. He scrambled to sit up once he realized who it was and blushed sheepishly.

Macbeth rolled her eyes at him. "Good job looking suspicious over nothing." She turned back to Ershey, her face grim. "He says he just wants to know her. Gave me a bloody five-dollar bill." Sometimes she didn't make that much in a week. "I dunno, Ersh. I just...don't know. But I'm glad I've got her here with me." She rubbed her forehead. "Damn, we left all that food in the lobby..."

"I forgot where I was, alright?" muttered Risk under his breath as he stood next to Ershey who shot him a look.
"I hid them in the sick room," said Ershey. "You two mentioned that earlier, right? Well, Jo's safe for now. Try not to think about it too much. It looks like you went through enough today already."

She blinked, remembering. "Raven had a baby. We stopped by there on the way to the orphanage, and I helped deliver a goddamn baby. And you're really telling me it ain't even sunset yet?" She tried to remember the last time she'd eaten--then wondered with alarm when was the last time Jo had eaten. No wonder she was fussing in Ershey's arms.

"Raven? Spot's Raven?" said Ershey incredulously, her eyes wide. "Geez, you really are busy today."
Noticing Jo's fussing, Risk cleared his throat and pointed at Jo. "I think she's hungry."

"Thank you for that brilliant observation," Beth grumbled, forcing herself out of bed with a theatrical amount of wincing and scowling. "Fine, let's have lunch. Dinner? What the hell time is it? I don't care, let's find food and eat it somewhere quiet."
