"Same," Macbeth admitted gruffly. Ershey was almost like a sister to her, and a second aunt to Jo. She saw the cot that Ershey had set up for Jo, and tucked the little girl in immediately, since she was already half-asleep again. "Look at this, jan, you got food, blankets, everything you need...'cept clothes, and I guess I'll be spending your dad's money on those," she said grimly. She would have to move her own stuff down here soon, too.
Watching Jo close her eyes and drift off, Beth felt her own eyelids getting heavy again. "I know it ain't hardly evening, but I kinda just wanna crawl in there with her. See you soon, Ersh?" She smiled slightly. "Maybe I'll even see you at work."

"Of course," she nodded, giving Macbeth a supportive smile. "I'd say come in around 2? Selling papes gets slow around that time, anyway."

"Will do," Macbeth agreed, yawning. "I know I've said it already, but...seriously, thanks for everything. I owe you so many favors I ain't even keeping track." She squeezed Ershey's hand briefly before climbing under the covers to cuddle with her niece. "Don't forget," she muttered as her eyes closed, "you really gotta talk to Risk..." And then she was sleeping again.

"I know, I know," she chuckled, shaking her head at Macbeth. "Just go to sleep, alright? I'll let you know how it goes..." She gave Jo a quick kiss on the forehead before making her way towards the door and quietly closing it behind her.
