Adri bit her lip, knowing full well that Teddy was thinking about something. She stayed quiet, however, as she helped clean up and loaded the dishes in the dishwasher.
"Teddy," she started, after they moved to the couch. "Do you think we can... start over?"

Teddy turned around to face her, putting his hands on her shoulders. "What do you need to apologize for?" he asked quietly. If this was what she needed to do to move forward, then he wasn't about to stop her.

"For being too selfish," she answered, looking up at him. "I didn't know what I was doing, then... and I was too immature to realize how much you wanted to make our relationship last..." She remembered it like it was yesterday. She was so excited about college, classes and parties that she slowly lost contact with Mush. She still cared for him... but he just wasn't there and she didn't bother trying.
