She felt her heart drop. Her body went numb and she stared. It was what she'd been waiting for all these years and here he was saying it.

"Teddy," she grinned, holding back a giggle. "Will you be my boyfriend again?" She didn't care if they were moving too fast... they knew each other for years and, if possible, cared for each other even more.

Teddy gasped exaggeratedly. "You're asking me to be your boyfriend? Well, you always were different from the other girls." He chuckled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ears. "Yes, I will."

Adri beamed, feeling elated as she tiptoed to give him another hug. Once she pulled back, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

A few months later, they were still going strong. They'd had a few squabbles, but nothing out of the ordinary. Now, Teddy was getting ready in Adri's bathroom, trying to make his bow tie look good, but he just didn't have the magic touch. He looked at his watch; the wedding was starting in half an hour. They were gonna be late! "Adri, I can't do this." He called out to her, finally just giving up.

"What is it?" she asked, stepping out of her room and following Teddy's voice. She had her shoes in her hands, her hair and makeup ready as her dress swayed with each step. Realizing that it was only his bow tie, she smiled and pulled him in front of her. "Here, let me..."

Teddy sighed, frustrated, as she did his bow tie. "I thought they weren't supposed to get married for another year or so," he checked his watch again. They had to drive to this church, and the traffic wouldn't be kind.

Adri laughed softly, finishing his bow tie. "They're just excited about it, that's all," she replied as she noticed his worried behavior. "C'mon, don't worry about it so much... you'll still have your best friend."
She grabbed her purse and did a quick spot check in the mirror. "Ready?" she asked, putting on her shoes. She knew Teddy well enough that he wanted to be on time.

"Yeah, let's go," he grabbed his keys and headed out the door, ushering Adri out and locking the door behind him. "I wonder if maybe... Nah, never mind."

Teddy shrugged, unlocking the car and holding open the door for her. "Maybe... I don't know, maybe they moved up the wedding 'cause Lillian's...got a bun in the oven."
