Teddy slipped under the covers, immediately reaching for Adri and pulling her close to him. He kissed her temple, lingering. "Night, my love."

"Gnight," smiled Adri, quickly kissing his cheek in return before immediately falling asleep.

Teddy woke up early the next morning and decided to make breakfast for his sleeping princess. He usually just put cereal into a bowl, but this morning, he wanted to try to make real breakfast. Which, of course, included pancakes. He got out the pancake mix along with some strawberries and turned on the coffee maker.

Smelling coffee, Adri rolled over in bed and hesitantly opened her eyes. Once she realized that Teddy wasn't sleeping next to her, she sat up in confusion and looked around.
"Teddy?" she called out, rubbing her eyes as she made her way towards the kitchen.

"No, no, don't come in!" Teddy cried frantically as he heard her footsteps heading toward the kitchen. He wanted to do this all by himself. "Just...go back to bed. I'll be there in...a few minutes." He poured a spoonful of pancake batter onto the pan, hoping he was doing this right.

"Are you sure...?" asked Adri, stopping in her tracks once she heard him. She wracked her brain for why he would be possibly doing this. Were they celebrating their anniversary? It wasn't her birthday either... he really wasn't kidding about treating her like a princess this weekend.

"Uh...yeah," he said, trying to sound more confident than he felt. He flipped over the pancakes, pleased to see they weren't burnt. Yet.

"Oookay, I'm going back to bed, then," laughed Adri, turning around and hiding underneath the covers once again. She was sure he was doing pretty well... everything smelled good. So far.

He made a nice sized stack of pancakes, and only one of them was the least bit dark brown. He was so pleased. He poured two mugs of coffee, then put some strawberries in a bowl. He found a tray and put on it everything that was needed for breakfast in bed. Then, he carefully carried it into her room, smiling with extreme pride.
"Ta da!"

Sitting up, Adri couldn't help but look at Teddy with pride. "Aww, Teddy!" she smiled, extremely ready for breakfast in bed. "Should I ask why...?"
