Lillian had been sitting on the edge of her bed, trying to calm herself by taking deep breaths. When she heard a knock on the door, she immediately jumped up, her heart racing. She looked at herself in the mirror on the way to the door, just to make sure she looked okay. Jana had picked out some tight skinny jeans with knee-high black boots and a striped t-shirt underneath a nice tweed blazer. But would Ryan even notice her clothes? Did boys do that? She had no idea!
Trying to hide her shaking hands, she opened the door and immediately smiled and blushed when she saw him standing there. "Hi," she greeted him quietly.

Ryan blinked, standing in shock as he stared at Lillian. He'd never seen her all dressed up and he couldn't help but think that she looked amazing.
"Uh..." he muttered, realizing he was staring. "Hi! Ready?"

"Yeah," she replied, nodding and clasping her purse strap tightly. She followed him out into the hall, locking her door behind her.
Once they were outside, Lillian's heart began to race even more. "So, what are we doing?"

While it was a bit later than Lillian's normal dinner time, she had been so nervous she hadn't eaten anything.
"No, I'm starving!"

"Good!" beamed Ryan. "I have a perfect place in mind." He lead her towards the parking lot where his car was located. It was a rusty old Nissan but he wanted to impress her somehow...

Lillian couldn't help but get even more excited. She hadn't been to eat off-campus in a while. Plus, she was going to be seen in Ryan's car. Seriously, was this a dream?

"It's, uh, a bit messy," he said shyly as he opened the door for her. He gently closed the door when she was all settled, ran over to the driver's side and started the car. "There's a great pasta place a couple minutes from here... you like pasta, right?"

"Of course I like pasta," she replied, chuckling a bit. She held tightly to her purse in her lap, as if it were her lifesaver.

Ryan pulled out of his parking spot and started to drive, trying his best to be cautious. "Are you comfortable? Cold? Warm?"
He owed Lillian a lot after all the effort and time she put in to help him and he wanted to make sure she had a fun night.

Lillian blushed a bit at his attention. "I'm fine," she replied shyly, her eyes gazing out of the window as he drove.
"Oh, do you know how you did on the exam?" she asked as she finally looked over at him. God, he was good looking.

Ryan shrugged. "I won't know until next week," he replied, keeping his eyes on the road. He knew that if he looked at Lillian, he'd get distracted. "But I knew everything! Well, most of it, y'know? You really helped, Lil. I didn't think this whole tutoring thing would work out that well..."

With that, Lillian blushed even more. She was glad he was paying attention to the road and not looking at her.
"All I did was give you the information, you did the rest," she shrugged, fiddling with the zipper on her purse.

"Yeah, but you let me learn the way I wanted to," shrugged Ryan as he drove on the freeway. "It's good to know that you trust me enough to do that. Most teachers just think I'm stupid."
