"Please," Leo begged, grabbing Alexander's wrist. He wanted to be knocked out.
Alex shook his head and began to clean the wound, barely wincing. It was infected. Before long, Leo had already passed out from the pain, and Alexander proceed to stitch him up, ripping off all his clothes in the process. His entire body was wounded, and it was hard to believe Leo was even still alive.
Once he was done, he washed his hands, looking at Kathryn. "We need to get him into bed..."

"Okay," she said softly, nodding. She was surprised she was still standing. She'd never been one to stand looking at an injury. She helped Alexander carry Leo into the house, though she feared she wasn't much help. Most of the adrenaline had worn off by now.

Alexander himself was exhausted. Once Leo was safely in bed, he left a small bell at his nightstand. "he knows to ring it if he needs me" Alex left the room, needing rest himself.
Leo stirred, his face showing the early signs of a black eye.

Kathryn sat on the edge of the bed, stroking his cheek lightly. "Leo, it's me..." she said quietly. She wasn't sure what else to say.

Leo gulped, shutting his eyes momentarily from the pain. Alexander had given him a shot of morphine, which was just kicking in.

He shook his head. "come into bed with me," Leo peeled down the blanket. He was so happy to be with her again.
"I'll tell you everything when we wake up." he promised.

"Okay," she whispered as she slipped into bed beside him. She didn't cuddle up to his side like she wanted to, but she laid as close to him as possible.

Hours later, Leo managed to wake up, but he still felt awful.
"think I'll ever walk again?" he muttered to Kathryn.

"Of course you will!" she replied, brow furrowed. "I'm going to have my family doctor come over here and take a look at you. See if there's anything he can do that Alexander didn't. You'll be fully recovered in no time."

She put her hand over his, keeping it on her cheek. "Leo..." she began in a small, frightened voice. "What happened to you?"

Leo laid his head down against the pillow, sighing. "The Frezno guy...he was working for some crazy millionaire. He wanted your dad out of office. I watched him for a few days, trying to figure him out. When I finally decided to go for it, I was too late, he was ready for me. I managed to deeply injure his men, but he was long gone by then. I managed to locate him at his hunting cabin, and we fought. He cut my leg, and I thought I was done for, so I killed him. But I was stuck, I couldn't walk. "
