Hawk didnt answer, and instead got onto his boat followed by the rest of his boys. One of them blocked the entrance from Tag.
"sorry Toots. Looks like we are out of room."

"Not my problem," Hawk piped up, nodding to Lenny to begin pulling away. The boy that told Tag that there was no more room for her was laughing but it wasn't in his eyes.
"Ya snooze ya lose, Toots." he flicked a half dollar at her shoes discreetly, immediately glancing to see if Hawk noticed. He didn't, and their boat began to float away. The boy gave Tag an apologetic look, hoping she had another few bits on her to pay for a ferry back.

Tag waited until the boat was far enough away to bend down and pick up the coin. At least someone in Brooklyn had a heart...
