Piper stood outside the bar, smoking a cigarette and allowing the cool air to numb her while she waited for Connelly to show up. Maybe she could tip him off, tell him to stay the hell away from Monday, and be gone a minute later.
If only she wasn't so goddamn afraid.
So instead she watched the sun go down, saying goodbye to another shitty day.

Jimmy walked with his hands in his pockets, making his way to the bar. He looked up and smiled when he saw Piper. He jogged over to her, "hey!"

"Hey there Jimmy," Piper greeted, taking a drag of her cigarette and genuinely smiling when she saw him. "Guess I showed up after all huh?"

"yeah and I'm glad ya did!" he smiled widely and offered her his arm, "shall we?" he nodded toward the bar.

Piper raised her eyebrow, giving him a confused look before smiling and taking it. "Did you have a good day?"

"not too had, sold all my papes so that's a good sign," He said with a smile. He also one five bucks off of one of Tristan's fights.

Piper nodded. "Is it generally hard to sell papers?" she asked him, leaning over the bar counter.

"nah, but it can be hard to sell out. I usually sell bout ninety of my hundred," he said with a shrug. He flagged the bartender down and ordered a beer, "whatcha want?" he asked her.

"Rum and coke," she ordered, giving the bartender a sweet smile. She glanced at Jimmy. "Sounds nice. Bet you run all around the city."

He was so much friendlier than before! Piper wondered why, but smiled back anyway. Not many people asked her about her day.
