Jimmy raised a brow, "alright, but only cause if something happened to ya if feel guilty."

"If something happened to me you'd never know," Piper pointed out. And, something already has, so it wouldn't be anything she couldn't handle. She began to lead the way back to her boarding house.

Jimmy followed along beside her, smoking another cigarette. This girl set his teeth on edge, he felt like he always had to be on his guard.

She glanced at him. "Do you feel what we did tonight was dishonest? Is that why you are so upset?"

[jimmyconnelly]

"No...I ain't really upset. I dunno how to explain it," He responded with a one shouldered shrug.

[piper]

"Welll...this is me," she said, stopping in front of the boarding house. "Sorry I lied. But this is where I stay, if ya wanna come up. I got my own room...I ain't gonna hurt ya."

Jimmy paused, "You don't live with your grandma?" He asked her.

[piper]

"No, I told you, my boyfriend...." She sighed. She'd fucked THIS one up. "The abusive one? You didn't believe me that I got out?"

Jimmy nodded, "Right..." he sighed heavily. "Well..."

[piper]

She sighed, crossing her arms, totally defeated. "Just go."

"I'll see you Saturday," He said. He did still want to take her to Coney Island.
