Erin and Eli Green packed up their family's truck for the long weekend at their family's ski lodge.
"First time at the cabin without the rents. Think you can handle it little sis?!" Eli mocked at her, pulling her hair.
"ugh. Grow up, Eli!" Erin replied, shoving him away. He laughed and headed to the driver's seat. "Mike will be here soon, we gotta wait for him. He gets shotgun."
Erin rolled her eyes. "You and your stupid snowboarder friends." she hated that her parents wouldn't let her drive to the lodge alone. Like Eli was any more responsible.

"Why don't I get shotgun?" Lillian asked as she emerged from the Green household with all her bags. It had taken her a bit longer to gather her things than the siblings, but Lillian had been friends with Erin for what seemed like forever, so they should've been used to it by now.
Mike, on the other hand, was only late because he'd overslept. Not because he'd had too much to pack. In fact, he only had one bag (unlike Lillian's three). He was driving as quickly and safely as he could over to Eli's house, though it was tough because he'd never been there.

"Because I refuse to fight with you the whole time over the damn stereo," Eli joked, grabbing Lil's bags and tossing them in the back.
Erin grinned. "another reason why I should drive. Then we can listen to good music."

"Yeah," Lillian agreed, brows furrowed deeply. "I don't want to listen to all that scream-y, weird stuff that gives me a headache..." she said, almost whining.
Mike turned onto the street, letting out a sigh of relief when he saw Eli out in his driveway a few houses down. He pulled up, a guilty expression already on his face for being so late.

"We won't," Erin assured her. "I can't listen to that stuff either." she opened up the back seat and got comfortable. "ELI LETS GO!"
"Can't, we gotta wait for....MIKE!!" Eli exclaimed running over to hug him. "I missed ya man!"

Lillian settled in beside her, then perked up when she saw Eli's friend. "Hey... Hey, Erin, check it out," she said quietly, nudging her friend with her elbow. She didn't know anything about this guy, but he certainly looked to be Erin's type.
Mike laughed, patting Eli on the back. "Sorry, dude, my alarm didn't go off this morning!" he explained, heading over to Eli's truck to throw his bag in the back.

Erin peeked out the window, groaning a bit. "why didn't Eli make ugly friends at school?"
"It's fine!" Eli replied, chuckling. "Classic Mike. My sister and her friend are in the backseat already. Let's go!"

Why isn't Eli ugly, is the true question here Lillian thought to herself with a small sigh. She was about to say something sarcastic to reply to Erin's quip but the two guys were already getting in to the front seats.
Once Mike was buckled, he turned around, a crooked grin on his lips. "Hey, I'm Mike," he said, reaching back to give them handshakes.
"I'm Lillian," she said, shooting him a small smile as she shook his hand.

"Erin," Erin introduced, taking his hand. "Eli's sister." she also smiled, settling back in the seat. "You aren't going to let Eli play his crazy rock music, are you?"
Eli glanced at Lillian through his rear view mirror as he began to drive away. "Doughnuts? Anyone?" he offered the box to mike.

Mike chuckled, taking the box and grabbing a plain glazed one. "No, definitely not," he assured Erin before passing the box to the girls.
Lillian snatched it, peering inside. "Ooh, Eli, you remembered my favorite!" she said, smiling widely as she took out the pink frosted doughnut with sprinkles on it.

Eli scoffed at Mike. "Who side are you on, anyway?! This will be one hell of a weekend if you're taking their side the whole time, Mikey." He chuckled, rolling his eyes as he turned onto the expressway.
"So. Mike. What are you majoring in?" Erin asked, munching on a chocolate doughnut. "I've decided to get to know you since you're on our side." Another groan came from the driver's seat.

Lillian sighed to herself, slumping in her seat. Eli hadn't even replied to her thanks. Obviously he didn't like her like she liked him. They'd known each other for years now, and he hadn't ever shown interest. Why would it be any different now?
"Art history," Mike told her, reaching over to punch Eli in the arm. "We're all on the same side!"

"Ow! You never punch the driver!" Eli said, laughing, punching him back.
"Proof I should be the one driving!" Erin said, looking at Lillian. "Am I right?"
((ha Eli is sooo oblivious. ))

Lillian straightened a little, smirking. "Of course. Girls are much better drivers, anyway. Why do you think we get to pay less for insurance?"
Mike laughed, rubbing his arm a little.

"So...art history. How the hell did you become friends with my moron brother?" erin asked, trying to steal more glances at him. She didnt expect to be getting some eye candy this trip....
Eli grinned. "He lives across the hall from me in the dorm."
