Lillian's heart stopped beating the second he touched her. At least it felt like it did. "That's -- that's much better. Thanks."
Mike smirked to himself, looking out the side mirror to see if Lillian was done yet. "Nope, not at the moment. What about you? I'm sure you've got a string of boys somewhere."

"come on, we should get to the cottage before we are trapped out here," Eli said, opening up the backseat door. "Lil saved the day!" Eli announced.
Erin cheered, patting Lillian on the shoulder.

"Well, I do my best," Lillian said, chuckling softly and blushing a little.
Mike noticed that Erin didn't answer his question, but he decided not to push it just now.

When they finally arrived at the Green family ski lodge, it was a full on blizzard. Everyone managed to get most of their stuff inside, but the wind had really picked up.
Eli looked around the cottage. "I'm goin to turn on the heat and start a fire. Erin wanna go see what we can cook for dinner?" they had been planning on ordering in but obviously take out was out of the question now.
Erin looked at Lil. "let's pray we can find some noodles or a frozen pizza or this is gonna be a long night."

Lillian furrowed her brow and started to go to the kitchen.
"Hey, I'll help you in there," Mike volunteered. "Lillian can help start a fire."

Eli raised his eyebrow at mike. "uh, okay." he smiled at Lillian. "You ready to lug in some logs, Lilly-Bear?" he chuckled. "we've really got you working hard. Manual labor."
Erin looked at Mike when he entered the kitchen. "What was that all about?"

Lillian tried not to roll her eyes at the use of her nickname...again. "I don't mind, you know," she countered.
"I, uh..." he blushed, not looking at her. "I'm actually pretty good in the kitchen, so..."

Eli smiled at her. "I know you don't. You never complain, I don't know why you hang around my sister so much."
Erin snuck a glance at him. "Yeah? I'd believe that."

Lillian let out an amused scoff, pushing him playfully. "You obviously have never studied for a test with me. Or been with me when it's raining and I don't have an umbrella..."
"So, let's see what we got here," he said, rubbing his hands together and opening up the cabinets.

Eli laughed. "everyone complains when those things happen." he began collecting logs from the shed. "and you didn't complain earlier out in the snow. You are like the perfect girl."
Erin opened up the freezer. "bingo! We got a pizza!"

Her eyes bulged a little before she got a hold of herself. "You don't mean that," she said, reaching to take the logs from him.
"Oh, look. There's some frozen vegetables," he said, taking them out. "Please let there be some pepperoni..." He opened the fridge, scouring around for some.

Eli grinned at her. "Sure I do. I can't believe you don't have a boyfriend."
"there's probably nothing in the fridge except water. And if there is its disgusting," Erin told him, peeking into the fridge over his shoulder.

Lillian just rolled her eyes, chuckling a little. "Oh, be quiet," she mumbled.
Mike nodded slowly. "Yep. We're gonna need a trash bag. A big one."

Eli laughed. "Whatever Lilly-pad. I won't give you compliments anymore." he led the way back into the house and put the logs in the fireplace.
Erin made a few. "Ugh!" and ran to get a trash bag. She opened it and began to shovel the moldy contents into it. "I'm so sorry Mike!"

Well, Lily-pad was at least better than Lily-bear...maybe. She searched around for some matches, finding some as well as some newspaper to stuff in-between the logs.
"Don't worry about it!" Mike said, turning his face away from the fridge so he could breathe and also laugh. "I've been in Eli's dorm room plenty of times, I can face this!"
