Mike shook his head, chuckling as he got out a knife and started cutting the pizza.
"No, I absolutely hate pizza," Lillian replied, smirking.

Erin plugged in the radio and turned on some music as she joined Mike at the table.
"WHAT. since When!" Eli demanded, shocked.

Mike rolled his eyes, completely amused that Eli took things so seriously. He smirked over at Erin before shoving some pizza into his mouth.
Lillian shoved him playfully, laughing. "You have no sense of humor!" she said, grabbing two plates for them.

"Hey! I got a sense of humor!" he insisted, shrugging. "I just didn't know what else we'd feed you."
Erin looked back over at Mike. She couldn't help it, she couldn't seem to pull her eyes away from him.

She laughed, shaking her head as she filled both of their plates with pizza. "Here you go, Mr. Humorless."
Mike was pretty sure that Erin was staring at him...He stopped eating and looked at her. "I got something on my face?"

Eli pouted and sat down at the table, shoving the slice into his mouth. "I was just concerned on being a good host!"
Erin blushed a little and shook her head. "Nope."

"And when have you ever cared about what I eat?" Lillian asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh..." Mike replied, wiping his mouth anyway.

"You're a guest in our house, I don't want you to starve," Eli said again, shrugging. He handed Erin and mike their glasses of wine.
That was when the lights flickered off and they lost power. "Damn," Erin said, sighing loudly and pulling out her cell phone for light. "good thing the pizza was already cooked..."

Lillian froze. She was terrified of power outages. She didn't know why, but she always had been.
"Gee, I didn't know you were so gracious, Eli," Mike said, chuckling.

Eli glared at Mike. "shuddup." he sighed and went to go search the kitchens for a few candles. "What a fucking day..."
Erin stood up and looked at Lil. She could tell her friend was worried. "you should go sit by the fire Lil. It's warm and bright there."

Lillian nodded, stumbling out of her chair and slowly, carefully making her way over to the fireplace. She sat down as close as she could get without burning herself, pulling her knees to her chest and hugging them tightly. Please let the power come back on soon.
Mike sat there, silent until he could tell Lillian had left. "Is she gonna be okay?" he asked softly, not wanting her to overhear.

"she'll be fine," Erin replied, and Eli lot a few candles, illuminating the kitchen. "I'll go sit with her."
"we'll all go," Eli piped up. "we can play a game of cards or something." he grabbed his wine.

Lillian had shut her eyes tightly, burying her face in her arms, breathing deeply to try and keep calm. But then she heard everyone coming toward her, and her heart started pounding even more. They would think she was a freak! Oh, fine, she didn't care what Erin or Mike thought. Just Eli.
Mike sat down next to Erin, glancing over at Eli to see what he would do about Lillian, if anything.

"Cheer up Lily-Bear! We're gonna play some go-fish!" Eli announced, refilling up his glass of wine and plopping down on the floor next to her.
Erin rolled her eyes and wrapped a blanket around her. "you are a child."
