"Why are you smiling at me so much?" she asked, smirking as she struck a match. She threw it in the fireplace and lit another, doing the same. "You only ever smile at me when you're teasing me."
Mike laughed, tying the trash bag up. "Well, he's a teenage boy. It's not that uncommon," he said, taking out the pizza and setting the oven.

"arent I?" he said, winking at her. He took a step back and looked at the fire. "Great. We won't freeze to death."
Erin shrugged, finding a pan to cook the frozen veggies. "That's a nice excuse for your friend, Mike. Is your dorm room as messy?"

Lillian narrowed her eyes thoughtfully at him. "I don't understand you sometimes," she said, shaking her head slowly.
"Well, it's fairly sanitary, but it's not spotless," he admitted.

Eli grinned. "don't be hard on yourself. Not many people do." he patted her shoulder and walked off to bother mike and Erin in the kitchen.
Erin smiled at him. "I wouldn't expect it to be." Eli wandered in, smiling.

Lillian decided to stay where she was, to make sure the fire stayed going nice and strong. Yeah, that was the reason.
"Hey, man," he said, clapping Eli on the shoulder. "We were just comparing the moldy contents of the fridge to your dorm room."

Erin looked at Eli. "you should go check out the bar, see if mom and dad left wine or something. We are stuck here all night anyway."

Lillian sat down in front of the fire, crossing her legs Indian-style. She began to wonder if maybe she should rethink her crush on Eli. Of course, she wondered this many times, but always ended up going back on her word. He was just too nice to her and too hot to give up on.
"I think we just need to address the elephant in the room," Mike said gravely. "We're all underage."

Erin grinned at Mike. "we are stuck here. How much trouble could we get into?"
Eli nodded. "Yeah man our parents would never know." he patted his shoulder. "I love you man but sometimes you need to loosen up a bit." he chuckled and wandered into the living room and opened up the bar. "You want a glass of wine Lil?"

She jumped a bit at the sudden sound of Eli's voice. "Oh, um, yes please," she replied, glancing back at him.
Mike stared after Eli, brows furrowed. Then he turned to Erin, looking extremely confused. "I was kidding!" he said, letting out a bemused chuckle.

"He likes you. Your maturity appeals to him, I think," Erin said, looking at him. "you want some pizza?"
Eli shrugged, giving her a glass and took a sip from his own. "they'll never notice. And they'd rather we do it in the house anyway."

"That's quite true," Lillian replied before taking a sip. She would only have one, but she was afraid Eli would make fun of her if she said so out loud.

Erin shrugged. "I don't know. You seem way more mature than Eli is. Well frankly that's not hard to be." she chuckled.
"pizza smells good. You gonna have a slice?" Eli asked her, leading the way back into the kitchen.
