"What?!" muttered Risk, his eyes wide. "Why are you two fighting?"
"Nothing!" shrugged Ershey as she followed Macbeth towards the kitchen. "We weren't! I just wanted to cook and the stove wasn't working. I was asking for help."

"But it was so loud!" Macbeth reminded Ershey accusingly, sweeping the clock parts into the pile. "Did you really hafta give her a broken clock, Alec?"
((I'm gonna turn in--see you tomorrow! <3 Maybe for some non-sequel-y MacRisk. Muahaha.))

"She can put it back together herself," sighed Risk, taking the clock parts from Macbeth. "Adri, really, you were yelling at Mush?"
"Geez, why are you two giving me such a hard time?" she muttered in frustration. "What, I can't get mad at Mush, is that why?"
((Gnight! <3))

"We're just concerned," Macbeth said nervously. "Because you, uh...don't usually get that mad, is all. Jo, honey, don't color there, all right? Go play in your room."
Jo and her crayons disappeared into the smaller bedroom.

Ershey sat down and frowned, acting as if she was Jo's age. "I don't know what's wrong with me today."

"Is it, um..." Beth sat down across from Ershey and waited till Risk was off stowing the clock parts somewhere. "...that time of month?"

"Beth!" muttered Ershey, shooting her friend a look. "I get moody but I don't get that horrible when it's that time! C'mon, how long have you known me?"

"I'm just trying to help! Is, uh...is there anything else going on? Eat any weird foods? Have any bad dreams? Lousy sex, maybe?"

Ershey gasped. "We don't have lousy sex!" she whispered so Risk wouldn't hear.

"Maybe the sex was too good, then," Macbeth joked. Then her eyes widened as she really gave that suggestion some thought. "Ersh, you don't think you could be...?"

"You think I'm...?" started Ershey, amazed that she hadn't even entertained the thought.

"Oh God!" Beth covered her hands with her mouth, eyes wide with horror. "Bloody hell!" This was probably not what her best friend wanted to hear right now, but she couldn't help it. Ershey would make a great mother and all, but childbirth scared her to death. And with good reason.

"Just...you could be...and then you'd...I mean...congratulations!" she said weakly, suddenly wondering if Risk was eavesdropping.

"But we're not sure yet, Beth!" laughed Ershey, actually feeling a bit excited.
"About what?" shouted Risk from the bedroom once again.
